Information and Admission Criteria for Candidates

of the European Senior Ladies' Golf Association

The ESLGA, formally established under its current name and statutes in 2013, aims to promote golf and foster friendly relations among its members. The association coordinates information on international tournaments, ensures the annual Marisa Sgaravatti Trophy and Masters Team Championship occur, and promotes senior women’s golf events across Europe.

 

Membership Criteria:

A country applying for ESLGA membership should fulfill the following criteria.

  • Eligible Members: Membership is limited to National Senior Women’s Golf Associations in European countries.
  • Player Requirements: Members represent amateur female golfers aged 50 and over.
  • Association Recognition: Each Senior Ladies Golf Association must be recognized by its country’s National Golf Association, which, in turn, must be a member of the European Golf Association (EGA).
  • Exceptions: Exceptions may be granted by special agreement of the ESLGA Committee and the General Meeting.

Application Process: Membership applications should be adressed to the ESLGA General Secretary.

 

The application should include the relevant information about the national senior ladies’ organisation, its representatives and the available golf facilities.

 

The Committee shall review the application and submit it to the General Assembly for decision, in accordance with the ESLGA Statutes.

 

The ESLGA supports a cohesive network for senior women golfers, connecting national associations and promoting opportunities for senior women to compete and build international friendships.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEES 2026

 

The annual membership fee is:

  • € 300 for countries entering a team in the Marisa Sgaravatti Trophy only,
  • € 400 for countries entering teams in both the Marisa Sgaravatti Trophy and the Masters Team Championship.

Membership fees are determined in accordance with the ESLGA Statutes and decisions of the General Meeting.

Criteria for new members

The criteria for new members are as follows:
 

  • As the official language of the ESLGA is English, sufficient knowledge of English is required.
  • The Association must be able to organise and host a Marisa Sgaravatti Trophy and a Masters Team Championship.
  • A 36-hole golf course or two nearby 18-hole golf courses must be available.

 

    Application for membership shall be made to the Committee. The Committee will inform all members through the Presidents of the Associations.
